Meet Our Providers
Compassionate, specialized care starts with the right connection.
Our providers bring experience in eating disorders, body image, trauma, and the experiences that shape our relationships with ourselves. We believe therapy should be collaborative, individualized, and grounded in genuine connection.
Ariel Newman, LCPC-S, NCC
Ariel earned her Master of Science in Counseling from Northwest Nazarene University and began her career providing therapy in alternative education settings. Working with adolescents navigating complex emotional, behavioral, and life circumstances helped shape her belief that meaningful therapy requires looking beyond symptoms to understand the experiences and patterns beneath them.
As her practice developed, Ariel pursued advanced postgraduate training through the Eating Disorders, Compulsions and Addictions (EDCAS) program at the William Alanson White Institute in New York City. This program deepened her specialization in eating disorders, disordered eating, body image, and the complex psychological and relational experiences that can accompany them.
Today, Ariel specializes in working with eating disorders, body image concerns, and trauma, with a particular passion for supporting people who live in larger bodies. Drawing from somatic and psychodynamic approaches, she helps clients explore the experiences and patterns that have shaped their relationships with food, their bodies, and themselves.
Ariel believes everyone deserves a therapeutic space where they can be fully themselves. Her practice welcomes people of all body sizes, gender identities, sexual orientations, religious and spiritual beliefs, and those who do not identify with a particular faith or belief system. She is committed to providing care that respects each client's identity, values, experiences, and understanding of the world.
Ariel approaches therapy with warmth, curiosity, and respect for each client's individual experience. Rather than focusing only on symptoms, her work creates space to understand what lies beneath them. Her goal is to help clients develop greater self-understanding, reconnect with themselves, and build a more peaceful and authentic relationship with their bodies and their lives.
